The next Meetup is in 3 days! Can't wait. I live in Seattle, but I'll be in the Los Angeles area for the next meetup, and will attend the one in Santa Monica. It will be fun to meet Dean Supporters from another area! I'm watching (again, for the umpteenth time) Dean's speech in Seattle (instuctions are below, if you're interested.) How inspiring. That's what I need on a Sunday as the next week begins. There is a NYT article on Dean today. He is getting notice from important people and places. He is definitely electable. I wear a Dean t-shirt most times I'm out in public, and the biggest question I get from people is, "I like Dean very much, but could he get elected?" YES. He's the most electable of the bunch. He's a dynamite campaigner. He's got 11 years of experience running the Governorship of Vermont. He's got a powerhouse team working on his campaign, not to mention the now 28,000(!) supporters who have signed up through meetup.com. Last week I didn't post because I was busy working on a fundraiser for Dean, held at a local restaurant. It came off well. We raised a little chunk of money, and all had a good time meeting and talking to fellow Dean supporters. What a great bunch of people!! :-) I may not post much in the next few days either, due to the LA trip. But I'll get back here when I can. Oh yeah - why am I going to LA? To speak at a conference on the RFK assassination. I've written and spoken a great deal about the assassination of Robert Kennedy, and will do some more for the 35th anniversary of that tragic event at the scene of the crime. I'll also be on a couple of radio stations talking about the case as well. If I can find a way to work it in, I'll try to find a way to plug Dean too. ;-) I have a book out called "The Assassinations", about the four major assassinations of the sixties - JFK, Malcolm X, MLK and RFK. Between 1963 and 1968 we lost the best leaders the left has had in a long time. Coincidence? Follow the facts. You can read about my book at Amazon.com and can order it online or through any of a number of bookstores.
